The Marketing, Industrial Distribution & Economics (MIDE) Department in the UAB School of Business seeks an Instructor of Assistant Professor of Marketing. Applicants should possess interests in teaching a variety of Marketing classes. The Department has a professional sales certificate program and a Professional Sales Leadership Center. We offer unique curricula in industrial distribution and medical equipment and supplies marketing in addition to a traditional marketing curriculum. Primary teaching responsibilities include undergraduate in marketing. A commitment to teaching excellence is essential. The teaching load for instructors is four classes in each fall and spring semester (4 4). Summer teaching opportunities for extra compensation may be available depending on student demand. UAB has excellent teaching facilities and support, including numerous multimedia classrooms and computer equipment and software to meet instructional needs. The faculty is expanding and is supported by the administration. Our faculty colleagues cooperate and provide flexibility in teaching assignments.
Applications will be reviewed beginning February 2013 and will continue until the position is filled. The expected starting date of appointment is August 16, 2013. Salary is competitive.
